If you’re completely new to folding origami with kids, here are a few recommendations. Use large paper that you don’t mind throwing away. There will be a few fails along the way!

The absolute easiest and best origami animal to start with is the origami cat face. This is because it only has a few steps, you can customise it be a dog, bear, rabbit or other animal face too!

Don’t forget to be patient which teaching origami to kids, it helps if you know exactly how to make the origami before trying to teach them! Take a few minutes before a lesson to refresh your memory and remember to also have fun!
