Origami Lotus Flower
Learn how to make a pretty origami lotus flower. This traditional origami flower is easy to make from one sheet of square paper.
This is the prettiest traditional origami flower in our opinion. Once you’ve folded this origami lotus flower, you’ll remember how to make it forever.
This origami flower works best with crisp, thin origami paper. If you use thicker paper, make sure to use the largest paper possible, to prevent ripping the paper.

Oh this is the best I had some trouble pulling the petals over but it worked in the end
My petals ripped how did you do your second and third set because those were the ones that ripped
OMG! The same happened to me!!
I also ripped 2 of my petals. It was kind of frustrating to rip something when your so close to the end. But I was able to improvise.
It didn’t happen to me because all I needed was a refresher on this. I also watched the video.
Mine ripped a little bit too…
i think its impossible lol
That also happened to me. It’s so hard.
I am 11 years old and I enjoy doing origami. It helps relax me.
This is soooooooo hard

🙂 This is very nice and easy to use. Thank you for making this.
I actually found this very hard to fold by the end..using 150 x 150mm paper..
They were too stiff to fold properly and i struggled to do step 22 🙁
However im sure if i try again it’ll come out beautifully just like others
Thanks for sharing this wonderful origami tutorial :))
It was fun to create.
I agree, this was very hard, but I know if I was to try again, I would be able to do it!

So fun! I’m 15, and I have been doing origami for a long time.
I am Ilya and I am 9 now, and I was making origami for so long, I am literally a master at it. This origami is very cool, though mine also ripped😅
Tia looks super pretty, but every time I try to flip the petals over to look well like
Petals, the paper always rips no matter what I do. My paper is 6 by 6 inches. Am I doing something wrong?
Hi there! I can only suggest using larger paper, although it should be possible with any size. Perhaps the paper is too thick.
my first time
I did it on second try! Step #18 is a bit tricky to do. The the corner must be held tightly. Place your thump underneath the flap and slowly pull the flap (about the holding point) to the other side. It work for me 🙂 Thanks for the instructions.
thank you
just a little bit difficult
i actually need you to use smaller paper because my origami paper at school is very small, so maybe you could make instructions and video with smaller paper. i am struggling to make the final product!
Yeah…
I tried to make it twice but couldn’t.☹
I have a hard time pulling the petal the paper it tear up, at first I though maybe the paper is too small but using a larger paper still tear. Do you have any suggestions?
It’s very easy to tear this model. When you are folding all the points inwards starting from step 6, make sure none of them are overlapping, it would be better to have a gap instead. When you bring the petals to the front, do so really carefully. The paper is delicate, especially if the folds have been “over-folded” as in the folds have been folded sharply, try not to score the folds with finger nails or anything. Hope that helps.
Beautiful 😍💓
I loveeeeeeeeeeee the lotus flower like so beautiful
Its tooooooooooooooooooooooo easy
It was fun
mine came out soooooooo gooood
Wow!! Very fun to make!!! Although, the last time trying to get the petals up it ripped… Very sad
I love this design, it so so pretty and lovely to receive on Valentine’s Day.
this did not help me at all i do not recommend this to people that easily get frustrated including me
Very hard my paper is not symmetrical that’s why it is very very very very very hard
Can somebody please explain how to do this I got stuck on step 17 and I still can’t do it even after the video.
this origami app is the freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeking cool
Peeling the petals made me beyond frustrated.
Maybe it’s the paper I’m using.
I started over 3 times, but they still rip.
I tried to make this but the paper became to thick and the paper ripped
