Origami Chicken
Learn how to make a traditional origami chicken with this easy to follow step by step tutorial. Make a family of origami chickens, roosters or hens with your kids at Easter.
This traditional origami bird stands up on it’s own, all you need is one sheet of square paper and a few minutes.
Young children may need some help from adults to complete a few of the steps.

Step 1: This is the front of our origami paper, the origami chicken will end up being mostly this colour.

Step 2: This is the back of our origami paper, this colour will show only on the top of the chickens head.

Step 3: Fold the bottom point up to the top point.

Step 4: Fold the lower right point diagonally up to the top point.

Step 5: Fold the lower left point up to the top point as well.

Step 6: Flip the paper over to the other side, keeping the open ends at the top.

Step 7: Fold the right point over to the left point.

Step 8: Flatten the paper and make sure it's all nicely aligned.
