Dividing Paper - Paper Grids For Origami
Sometimes it’s required to fold your origami paper into quarters, thirds, fifths or other specific ratio grid. This is common especially for certain origami flowers, origami boxes and geometric origami.
There are various methods for making these grids, here we have the simplest methods in our opinion. If you are interested in designing your own origami models, these are very useful to know. This is because you can get more variations of a model by using thirds.
For example, a box model may work better by using a grid of fifths and thirds, as you can see how it comes out when you apply your folding sequence to thirds or fifths.
