Origami Lily Flower
The origami lily is a very well known and loved origami flower. It’s easy to make and only takes a couple of minutes to complete. You can make a whole bouquet of paper flowers.
All you need is 1 square sheet of paper, any paper will do. The best paper to use would be thin but strong paper around 15x15cm or larger to begin with.
The origami lily flower is only one extra step from the origami bird base!

Step 1: This is the front of your paper, the origami lily will end up this colour.

Step 2: This is the back of your paper, you will see this colour on the inside of the lily.

Step 3: Start by making a water bomb base. If you already know how, click here to skip to step 14. Fold the bottom point up to the top point.

Step 4: Unfold the previous step.

Step 5: Fold the right point over to the left point.

Step 6: Unfold the previous step.

Step 7: Flip the paper over to the other side and rotate.

Step 8: Fold the bottom edge up to the top edge.

This îs my lilly, it didn’t come out quite right, cause i opened it at some point to figure out what i did wrong, and re-did it… But it’s cute

It wasn’t really that easy to follow. This should be put in the intermediate section because I was looking for an easy, cute one and it turned out that it wasn’t so easy. DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR BEGINNERS. just because it says “easy” does not mean it is.

Excellent visuals and instructions. I practiced using a piece of advertising and shall move ahead to nicer paper.
Mm. Not so easy. Initially I only had 2 petals. Fixed that. But still… not good. The steps where it says “repeat” could really use so more more visuals. and I agree this is intermediate. Cranes, roosters. Those arent bad. But this… this is intermediate.
Very good for the first (or second) try, now you can make more even better. Thanks for the feedback, we will have a look at adding more steps 🙂

… I think I messed up
No photo, incomplete, after 4 tries I got stuck in number 25 each time. I will persevere though.

i would say im relatively new to making origami and i found this pretty easy! i might see if I can do this with a hexagon shaped paper instead of a square to get 6 petals instead of 4 (idk if my papers are big enough though)

I made two and combined them! It looks even better when there’s two of them. Suprisingly easy to make!
that’s extremely creepy. the dark paper…. ok I think the lily is pretty (with wight paper)
