How To Fold An Origami Spider

Step 22: Flip the paper over to the other side, from left to right.

Step 23: Refold the triangular flap back down.

Step 24: Unfold the triangular flap back up and unfold the left and right flaps.

Step 25: In the same way as before, open up the bottom flap from the top crease as shown, just like a bird opening its beak and flatten the paper upwards. This is an origami bird base.

Step 26: Fold the lower left and right diagonal edges in to meet the central crease.

Step 27: Flip the paper over to the other side, from left to right.

Step 28: Fold the lower left and right diagonal edges in to meet the central crease.

Step 29: Fold the top point down to meet the corners of the front flaps as shown.

Step 30: Open the front left and right flaps only, and cut along the lines indicated.

Step 31: Flip the paper over to the other side.

Step 32: Carefully trim along the lines indicated on this side.

Step 33: Flip the flaps around, like flipping the pages of a book, so that you're working on the alternate "faces" of the flaps. Please check the top points of the model in the photo to help make sure you have your paper in the correct configuration.

Step 34: Carefully cut along the line indicated on this side.

Step 35: Flip the model over to the other side, and carefully cut along the line indicated on this side.

Step 36: Flip the "pages" of the model back to this position with the folded down flap at the front.

Step 37: Unfold the front flap upwards.

Step 38: Re-fold the lower flaps as shown.

Step 39: Flip the model over to the other side.

Step 40: Re-fold these lower flaps as well.

Step 41: Fold the top flap down as far as it will go.

Step 42: Flip the paper over to the other side.
