Origami Jack-O-Lantern
Learn how to fold an origami Jack-O-Lantern for Halloween. This origami pumpkin is easier than it looks, you can make it in just a few minutes.
This origami Jack-O’-Lantern is designed by Nicolas Terry. It uses a single sheet of paper. The pumpkin’s face is made possible by using paper with a different colour on each side.
You can see that the origami pumpkin ends up becoming one quarter of the size of the paper you start with. For our tutorial we used 15 x 15 cm origami paper.

Step 1: This is the front of our origami paper.

Step 2: This is the back of our origami paper, which will be the colour responsible for the face.

Step 3: Fold the right edge over to the left edge.

Step 4: Unfold.

Step 5: Fold the the top left and right corners diagonally down to meet in the center.

Step 6: Fold the right edge down again diagonally to meet the central crease.

Step 7: Repeat on the left side.

Step 8: Fold the two lower points that overlap up, this creates the eyes.

Step 9: Fold the lower right point diagonally up, using the existing angle of the left flap as a guide as shown.
